Most Kenyans and East Africans in general don’t understand or know the difference between Mganga and Mchawi but they are not to blame because many would rather not read for themselves and understand things that are in plain sight.
Mganga is an African Traditional Healer a person of high status in the African community who is respected by the elders in the community and the whole community general, he/she is usually consulted by the community on important matters such as leadership, marriage, worship (if the rains were late a mganga would lead the whole community to seek forgiveness from above) therefore a mganga was and still is an integral part of the African Tradition, also Mganga always does everything for good of the community without any intention to cause harm or suffering to anyone.

On the other hand a Mchawi is a witch and we all know witches are evil and their only aim is to cause chaos and havoc in the society.
